About Us

HobCommunity was born out of a passion for hobbies. Co-Founder and CEO Christiane Potts found herself clicking from site to site as she tried to manage her personal space pages, galleries and discussion forums for scrapbooking, crocheting and cooking. She finally realized that things would be much more simple if all her hobbies could be brought under one roof. Not only would it save time, but it would give friends an opportunity to see the other activities in which she participates.

From that dream came the development of a community that brings many hobbies under one roof and helps hobbyists do the things they need to do as they pursue what they love. First, they can interact with each other through discussion forums, an internal e-mail system and blogs. Second, they can show off their hard work and experience through the photo galleries, both personal and community-wide. Third, they can read articles about their hobby and learn more, as well as offering up their expertise by having their blogs posted for others to see.

In addition to the pursuit of their own hobbies, members can step out of their areas and explore the broad range of other hobbies available.

No matter the reason that visitors choose to become members and join the HobCommunity, the basic fact is that it's a labor of love because that's what each person's hobbies are; labors of love. We hope you enjoy ours.
